Jo is running for state representative because she values good public education, supports local business owners and rural Kansas communities and wants Kansas to return to its roots as a common-sense national leader.
As a small business owner, Jo understands the value of hard work and the importance of fiscal responsibility and she will bring those qualities to the Kansas Legislature.
Having a strong sense of public service, Jo has served in many leadership roles with the local and international Kiwanis, and is dedicated to improving the lives of children everywhere.
Jo’s husband is a public school principal and knows first-hand the importance of providing sufficient funding of schools to ensure all children have the opportunity to succeed in life.
Jo is a native Kansan. She lives in Abilene with her husband of 38 years; they have three children and two grandchildren.
